Sewage and drainage system and drainage works for waste water treatment in the Village of Drianka, Banite Municipality, Smolyan District (Banite Municipality, Smolyan Region)

Project duration: 6 months (preparatory activities)

Project summary:

The project has been funded under Technical Assistance for preparation of future Project Proposals, European Territorial Cooperation Programme (INTERREG IVA), Greece – Bulgaria 2007 – 2013.

The current project envisages construction of sewage system and waste water treatment facility in the village of Drianka. The project has been implemented in the Municipality of Banite, in the Village of Drianka particularly. The Village of Drianka is located 4 km away from the municipal center – the Village of Banite and has available inner water supply system. All of the main branches of the water supply system І, ІІ and ІІІ have been completed. There has been constructed a new water supply system 4 km of length and with pipes of high density (Ф 90). The system is supplied by a reservoir with volume of 250m3. There is neither sewage system, nor waste water treatment facility in the village. Therefore, the waste water is led away in absorbing pits or gullies in the near vicinity of Malka Arda River, which is a tributary to the cross-border Arda River.
